Lambert's Cafe

If you are looking to have rolls thrown at you and a large portion of food... then check out Lambert's Cafe. Seriously, the portions were HUGE....

Even my mom and daughter were shocked by the amount of food we received!

The atmosphere is fun and lively... and they do literally throw rolls at you if you want one. Also, they walk around offering extra fixins' if you ordered a meal. They make sure to feed you... and I can't imagine leaving hungry!

We visited the Lambert's in Foley, Alabama after an afternoon shopping spree at the Tanger Outlets nearby. The fun exterior made us choose to eat there, and I am so glad we did. We will definitely go back the next time we are in Foley!

Lambert's History

Earl Lambert met and married Agnes Dyer and moved his new family to near Sikeston, Missouri. Then in 1942 with only 14 cents to their name, they borrowed $1,500 and opened the first Lambert's Cafe. It was the middle of World War II, and times were tough all the way around for almost everybody. But Earl always offered plenty of fixin's at a reasonable price, and the cafe got more and more popular. Construction for a third Lambert's Cafe in Foley, Alabama began in November 1995, and opened June 24th, 1996. The newer restaurants have the same food, service and atmosphere as the original in Sikeston, Missouri.
